When I started to draw this a few weeks ago, I only meant it to be a "sketch", not an actual project. But then I decided to draw the background this way, and it began to mean something to me. In a way, this picture is an allegory The colors in the B&W checkers are probably the things that hold the most meaning because they represent the most important things in life. Red= Even though you can't really see it in the scan, it represents God, and how he shed his blood for us. Green= Family. Just how the trees, the flowers and the plants are forever (Just as long as the earth is here. Heh heh) family is forever. Purple= Friends. I put the two checkers together because they are connected in a way. Though because purple is a cool color, yet almost an aggressive one, I had it represent friendship. Some of the images represent the girl, a lot of them are in relation to myself, my memories and my feelings. Even the cursive text in the background is a poem I wrote I couldn't get the whole drawing in the scan :[ Click for a larger view
